If you are in need of fillings and wish to have extra precautions taken during the process of drilling out old amalgam fillings, then we can help you. In our practice we follow a protocol derived from that of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. In brief it involves the use of nitrile dam to isolate the tooth, high suction evacuation and a separate air source. We are alsoin the process of installing the Swiss IQAir system of air filtration.
